Green Sea Container

June 26, 2007 could technically be designated as the start of the "portnoyUKadventure" as that was the day we became the proud parents of a 20 foot sea container. By the end of the day we (and by we I don't mean me) managed to fill roughly 17 feet of this thing (floor to ceiling), which went by truck to train to cargo ship in New York Harbor across the Atlantic Ocean to Thamesport where it was inspected by British customs officials and then picked up and put in storage by our freight forwarders. Our stuff now awaits us in storage and should arrive at 27 Hamilton Terrace at 9:00am on Tuesday August 14. We'll see.

To be honest, all this isn't particularly interesting and this post is actually geared toward learning how to post a picture with text. For those who intend to become regular readers of portnoyukadventure.com, this will not be the last post you endure that has an ulterior motive.
